HI!
My name is Krissy Mather, and I am from Orange County, CA. I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from (THE) Ohio State University College in Columbus, OH. After graduating, I worked in public health research before working in education and eventually finding occupational therapy. I love spending time with friends, family, and my cat Bosley. Traveling is a big part of my life, and I have been to over 30 different countries.
I am a occupational therapy student and have recently completed my level II fieldwork rotations and am now awaiting graduation. My first rotation was at a pediatric outpatient clinic in Melbourne, FL. My second rotation was in a neurology clinic in Nashville, TN.
I fell in love with occupational therapy because it blends everything I love about public health with everything I love about teaching. Occupational therapy helps clients achieve independence based on their needs, wants, and current status. It is a holistic approach to healthcare centered around the client. I have always strived for a career where I can profoundly impact other people's lives and reshape what healthcare can look like, and occupational therapy does just that.
Here are some photos to help you get to know me better.
